NEW DELHI: Not even 24 hours are left for Karnataka Common Entrance Test, KCET 2022 and students are still demanding postponement of the exam citing less gap between competitive exams. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) students also urged education ministers to defer the exam date as their board exams 2022 ended on June 14.

At the request of the Class 12 students of Karnataka, National Students Union of India (NSUI) Karnataka president Keerthi Ganesh and officials met Karnataka examinations director Sriramya on June 14 and requested for the postponement of the KCET exam.

A student said in a tweet, “As a 2nd PU student, the last two years were difficult. We have been through 3 Corona waves, hijab controversy, proper education was difficult for us to cover a lot of syllabus (most topics not taught) so a humble request from most of the students to postpone KCET 2022.”

A CBSE student tweeted, “Please think about CBSE board students. They have no gap in their exams. Their board exams will end on 14 June and KCET is on 16. How will they prepare in 1 day? Is it a child's play to prepare in 1 day ? Kindly postpone KCET 2022.”

A Twitter user said, “As we all know, the kcet is life deciding exam. Our 2nd puc 2021-2022 was an unlucky batch. In 1 puc most lessons were skipped and no time in 2nd puc to prepare, many of the colleges don't give coaching and we have no time to self-study. So please postpone KCET.”

Another student said on Twitter, “Respected Sir, Class 12 CBSE exams are going to end on 13 June(CS).It was announced that K-CET are going to be held on 16,17 June, COMED-K on 19 June, Mains from 20 June. It's very difficult to prepare for all exams together, please postpone KCET 2022.”

“Hi I am Puneeth K G from class 12th. I request all the members of the board to postpone KCET 2022. Because 28 days is not sufficient for covering all the topics from 1st pu and 2nd pu. And even JEE MAINS PHASE 1 is also on the line,” tweeted another student.
