NEW DELHI: The Karnataka Examination Authority has issued a notification regarding the information sought by students while filling the Karnataka Common Entrance Test. The instructions issued by the KEA deals with ex-defence candidates, documents required, category issues and others. Candidates can register for KCET 2024 till February 14 on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

As per KEA instruction, candidates applying for ex-defence certificates through Seva Sindhu Portal can use either of CET application number or their Army Number. In case candidates have studied for at least seven years in Karnataka and cleared Class 10 board exam in the state, they don’t need to submit Class 11 and 12 certificates. If the above information is fetched from SATS database there is no requirement to upload any documents, the KEA statement read.

Candidates claiming religious or linguistic minority reservations should upload study certificates from Class 1 to 10, the board guidelines read. “Since the study certificates uploaded by the candidates will be sent to the block education officer (BEO) or the deputy director office pre-university (DDPU) for verification, it is sufficient if the colleges or schools issue the study certificates. BEO or DDPU counter signature is not required,” the examination authority said.

The KEA will release the KCET admit card on April 5. The KCET 2024 will be held from April 18 to 19.
