The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has started the web option entry process for admission to various professional courses through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 counselling. Eligible candidates can register their course and college preferences through the official KEA counselling portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

According to KEA, candidates can currently submit options for engineering, agriculture, veterinary and nursing courses. The choices filled by candidates will be considered during the KCET seat allotment process.

The KCET 2026 counselling process includes document verification, web option entry (choice filling), seat allotment based on candidates' preferences and merit, fee payment, and reporting to the allotted college within the prescribed deadline.

In a post on X, KEA advised candidates to complete the KCET 2026 option entry process patiently and avoid rushing while selecting courses and colleges.

The authority also clarified that candidates who are appearing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test ( NEET 2026 ) re-examination should focus on the exam first and complete the option entry process later.

KCET Option Entry 2026: Step to apply

Candidates can follow the steps below to complete the KCET 2026 web option entry process.

  • Visit the official KEA website and open the KCET 2026 web option entry link.
  • Enter your CET number and security PIN, then click Submit.
  • Create a password and log in.
  • Select your preferred colleges and courses from the available options.
  • Submit your choices and download or print the confirmation page for future reference.

KEA urged candidates to carefully evaluate colleges, courses and fee structures before submitting their preferences.
