The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued an important notice for students who appeared for UGCET 2026 and passed their Class 12 examinations from boards including CBSE, CISCE, and other state boards. The authority has instructed students to immediately update their Class 12 marks by providing Digilocker permission. Candidates must log in through the official KEA portal to avoid withholding of their CET results.

Post on official 'X' handle reads, "Candidates have to login to the KEA portal and provide / enable the digilocker permission, so that their 12th std marks will be fetched automatically and will be used to determine the merit as per rules. Please note that, there is no provision to enter the marks or to submit the copy of the marks sheet to KEA."

According to the notification released by KEA, a special online link has now been made active for candidates belonging to non-Karnataka boards, including CBSE and CISCE. Through this facility, students are required to provide permission via DigiLocker so that their marks can be fetched automatically and used for merit preparation as per official admission rules.

Candidates will not be allowed to enter marks manually or submit physical copies of marks cards to KEA. Instead, the entire process has been made digital through DigiLocker integration.

The examination authority has also warned candidates that failure to complete the marks update process may lead to their UGCET 2026 results being withheld. Students have therefore been advised to complete the verification and marks update process immediately.

The authority has also shared a YouTube Shorts help link explaining the marks update process for students facing difficulties while enabling DigiLocker access. The online marks update system has been introduced to streamline verification and reduce errors during merit preparation.
