Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will start the undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET) or KCET 2025 counselling for engineering admissions in June 2025. Candidates who have qualified KCET and have obtained the minimum passing marks in physics, chemistry, and mathematics subjects in Class 12 board exams 2025 will be eligible to participate in the state-level seat allotment process.

As per the eligibility criteria, students should have passed in Karnataka 2nd PUC, Class 12 or equivalent exam with English as one of the language subjects with minimum aggregate of 45% marks in physics and mathematics along with chemistry, bio-technology, biology, electronics, or computer. Students belonging to SC, ST categories as well those under category 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B should have obtained 40% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
The KEA has opened a facility for students to enter their correct Karnataka 2nd PUC marks and registration number. The KCET results 2025 were declared on May 24. The KEA prepared the KCET rank list by taking marks in equal proportions in the qualifying exam and in the common entrance test in PCM subjects. Those who have not entered the correct marks or Karnataka Class 12 registration number will be awarded a spot KCET rank from May 29, the officials said after the result announcement.
