NEW DELHI: The Kerala Board of Public Examinations (KBPE) and the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) will commence the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Class 10 board exams 2024 from tomorrow, March 4.
Kerala SSLC exams 2024 will begin with first language part 1 paper including Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Urdu, Gujarati, Additional English, Additional Hindi, Sanskrit (academic), Sanskrit Oriental, Arabic (academic), and Arabic Oriental. On the other hand, the Meghalaya board will conduct the English paper on March 4.
Kerala SSLC board exams 2024 will be conducted till March 25 while MBOSE SSLC exams 2024 will conclude on March 15.
Students will be required to carry their admit cards along with a photo identity card in order to enter the examination hall. Candidates are advised to reach the exam centres at least one hour before the commencement of the board exams.
Kerala’s draft curriculum framework for school education presented by the state education minister V Sivankutty proposed multiple and semester exams, and career guidance centres for Classes 11 and 12. The draft Kerala Curriculum Framework also recommended making two languages compulsory for the two classes.
Moreover, the Kerala government compiled the deleted portions from the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) textbooks to create a new textbook for students of Classes 11 and 12. The education minister had claimed that the council had omitted important parts from the syllabus of these classes.
On the contrary, Meghalaya board decided to use NCERT textbooks instead of state ones for school students saying that the state textbooks are not up to the standards. The government also announced last year that CBSE syllabus will be followed for three subjects of Classes 11 and 12 including physical education, sociology and psychology.
