KVS Class 1 admissions are based on a lottery system; selected candidates required to report at their allotted school for document verification
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has declared the second provisional admission list for Class 1 for the 2026–27 academic session. Parents can check the selection status of their children on official KVS websites kvsangathan.nic.in, admission.kvs.gov.in, or education.gov.in/kvs/
KVS, which manages central schools across the country, conducts admissions in phases, beginning with the Right to Education (RTE) category, followed by service priority groups and other applicants.
In the released list, candidates marked as “Selected” are required to report to their allotted school for document verification, while those placed on the “Waiting List (WL)” may be considered if seats remain vacant. The post-lottery number indicates the applicant’s position after the draw.
Admissions to Class 1 are carried out through a computer-based lottery system. Applications are processed across different categories, including RTE and reserved quotas, with selections made randomly within each group. The third provisional admission list is scheduled to be released on April 21.
