NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has launched an advanced certification course in Deep Learning to upskill youth and promote e-learning during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The launch comes amidst the need for technical expertise to tackle the global economic slowdown in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has signed an agreement with Cloudxlab.com, a US-based edtech company for offering a series of online courses.
These instructor-led as well as self-paced executive courses will be available at Cloudxlab.com.
Ajit K. Chaturvedi, director, IIT Roorkee, said: “This initiative will be attractive for users who aim to excel in the technical field. The partnership with CloudxLab.com will amplify our reach to offer the latest knowledge in tune with the needs of the industry.”
The deep learning course will be delivered by the faculty of IIT Roorkee and also other experts from the industry. The classes will be live-streamed online.
The learners will receive a certificate from IIT Roorkee, upon the completion of the course.
IIT Roorkee is already offering courses in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science and many more.
“Technology continues to advance rapidly even today, and this is perhaps the best time for professionals to expand their horizons and learn new technologies,” said Manish Shrikande, dean, sponsored research and industrial consultancy, IIT Roorkee.
This initiative will help the students as well as professionals upskill themselves and use their time productively during this lockdown period.
