Maharashtra: The learning center will enhance skill development opportunities for women and children through hands-on computer experience.

NEW DELHI: The Consortium for Technical Education (CTE) and the Commissionerate of Women and Child Development (CMCD), Government of Maharashtra, jointly launched a learning centre to offer Information Technology (IT) training programmes to students. Through the training programme, the initiative aims to provide skill development opportunities for both women and children.
The newly established Learning Centre, located at the David Sassoon Industrial School in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is set to provide hands-on computer experience to a wide range of students. The training programmes offered at the center will be aligned with the syllabus and books provided by TechnoSchool, the official statement read.
The programme will benefit the students from Class 1 to Class 9 at the David Sassoon Industrial School and help them gain access to advanced technology courses. The educational package provided by TechnoSchool includes a proven methodology and resource materials that support the learning process,the official statement added.
K A Alagarsamy, the director of CTE, said: "Through our partnership with the Commissionerate of Women and Child Development, Government of Maharashtra, we have the opportunity to enhance students' skills by offering advanced technology courses. As part of our commitment to building and expanding students' skill sets nationwide, we have appointed a skilled trainer at the David Sassoon Industrial School, furthering our goal of enabling more students with valuable technological knowledge."

Sairaman Srinivasan, the chief strategy officer of CTE, stressed the importance of lifelong learning and said: "We must embrace lifelong learning to stay abreast of the rapidly evolving technology landscape. Through our dedicated learning centers and cutting-edge technology courses, we aim to equip students to upskill and become future-ready. This partnership enables us to expand the project's reach and impact a larger audience."

Praveen Chaudhari, the Superintendent of the school said: "We are delighted to partner with CTE through the Commissionerate of Women and Child Development, Government of Maharashtra, to support our student's academic excellence. The CTE-appointed trainer is very friendly with the students, and his teaching methodologies are well-loved by the children, resulting in full attendance during his classes."
