Manipal Academy of Higher Education holds convocation ceremony for first batch of online students

MAHE: Over 400 students completed the online postgraduate programmes in MBA, MSc, and PGCP in various management fields.

NEW DELHI: The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) hosted the first convocation ceremony for the batch of online students. The convocation ceremony was held at the MAHE campus on February 8, 2025. A total of 426 students were awarded degrees for PG programmes in various fields including MBA, MSc in business analytics, MSc in data science, PGCP in business analytics, supply chain management, etc.

The online batch of students comprised of working professionals from various industries and backgrounds. MAHE introduced its first batch of online degree programme in September 2022.

"The graduates were thrilled to visit the university campus and were excited to receive their degree certificates and meet their peers & faculty in person," MAHE statement said

"As per University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines the online degree is recognized as equivalent to the conventional degrees offered on campuses and students can apply for all job opportunities and higher education as per their eligibility,” MAHE statement adds.

MAHE convocation ceremony for batch of online students

The convocation was inaugurated by the chief guest of the day, HS Ballal, the pro-chancellor at Manipal Academy of Higher Education. The event was attended by other members including – MD Venkatesh the vice-chancellor; Narayana Sabhahit the pro-vice chancellor (Technology and Science); Sharath K Rao the pro-vice chancellor (Health Sciences); Dilip G Naik the pro-vice chancellor; Madhu Veera Raghavan the pro-vice chancellor of MLHS and Head at MAHE Bangalore campus and others.

While addressing the graduates Ballal said: “This unique event marks a significant milestone not only in the lives of our graduates, but the history of our institution as we adapt to the evolving times.”
