NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 13: The extensive application form for MDI Gurgaon 2019-21 admission process has been activated on December 12, 2018. The applicants, who had filled up the lightweight form received the update via email and SMS. The last date to enter the additional data is December 17, 2018, until 5 pm. The data which the registered candidates can enter are as follows:
-
Class 10th Academic Details
-
Class 12th Academic Details
-
Status of UG final examination
-
Year of completion of UG discipline
-
Work experience in months as on 31.12.2018
-

The SMS sent by MDI Gurgaon read, “Dear candidate, Information regarding PGP-2019-21 admissions at MDI has been sent on your registered email. Kindly verify and fill the mandatory details before 17th December 2018, 17:00 hrs.”
The MDI Admission Office also stresses the fact that the candidates should enter correct details and after the deadline, there would be no option to rectify the wrong details entered, if any. “To ensure that your application details are complete and correct, we request you to verify and update them. Please use the below link and log in credentials for the same. The deadline for this process is Monday, 17th December 2018, 5:00 pm. No changes will be entertained thereafter,” the email states.
The original application deadline for MDI was November 24, 2018. However, the system was hit with a technical snag, owing to which registered candidates could not log in to the application website of MDI. The institute had extended the last date to fill the application till December 3, 2018, and also introduced a lightweight application form, in which candidates had to fill only their basic personal details and CAT 2018 ID.
After December 3, the MDI Gurgaon did not mention any further update on the process. The message displayed on the website is, “PGP 2019-21 Application Closed. Another link will be opened shortly ONLY for the registered applicants who have completed their payments successfully to verify/capture the mandatory details. No new registrations are applicable for PGP 2019-21 session.”
Instructions about filling the academic details
Candidates are required to fill the marks of your best language in the second language box in case you have appeared in more than one language.
Letter grades or grade points should be converted to percentage of marks. If candidates’ Board/University/Institute does not provide a formula for converting grade points to percentage, then they should divide their grade point by the maximum of the scale and multiply it by 100 to get the percentage. For example, if the grade point is 3 on a 4-point scale, the equivalent percentage of marks will be 3/4 x 100 = 75.00 per cent.
In a first, the application process of MDI Gurgaon was hit by such a technical glitch leading to an extension of the application deadline. The CAT 2018 was held on November 25, 2018, and the result is expected to be declared in the second week of January 2019 followed by which MDI would shortlist candidates for the further selection process.
