NEW DELHI: India is experiencing a severe second wave of COVID-19. The surge in cases across the nation has led to the postponement of various entrance exams including medical entrance tests.
The new dates for conducting postponed entrance exams for admission has not been announced yet. The authorities have informed that the new exam dates will be announced later after mulling over the situation. Various exams which have been postponed till now for the 2021 session due to COVID has been mentioned below.
NEET PG 2021 postponed
On May 3, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has announced that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2021 has been postponed by four months. The decision was taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to postpone NEET-PG for at least 4 months to cater to the growing need of healthcare workers amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
As per the notice, the NEET PG 2021 exam will not be held before August 31 and medical graduates will be given at least a month’s time for preparation after the announcement of the NEET PG 2021 exam date.
INI CET 2021 July session postponed
In view of the exponential rise in the COVID-19 cases, the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET) was postponed. Authority will announce the revised dates for INI CET 2021 July session at the AIIMS official website - aiimsexams.ac.in.
AIAPGET 2021 postponed
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has also announced the postponement of AIAPGET for a minimum of three months. Earlier AIAPGET 2021 was scheduled to be held on June 7, however, now the revised AIAPGET exam date 2021 will be announced later.
DNB PDCET 2021 postponed
In order to avoid any inconvenience to candidates attending the examination and to ensure their safety, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has postponed the conduct of DNB-PDCET 2021 till further notice.
