MHT CET 2022 normalization process
The authorities have designed a normalisation procedure to calculate the percentile score for the MHT CET 2022 result and the ranks of the candidates. The MHT CET score will declare in the form of percentile ranging from 0 to 100. The topper of MHT CET 2022 will get 100 percentile, whereas the lowermost scores get a percentile score of 0. The marks will be obtained in between the highest and lowest scores and will be converted to appropriate percentiles. However, the percentile scores of MHT CET will be calculated up to five decimal places. Check the formula below:
MHT CET Percentile Score = 100 * (Number of candidates in the exam with normalized marks ≤ the candidate) ÷ Total number of candidates in the exam.
The MHT CET 2022 also have a tie-breaking criterion when two or more candidates have scored the same marks in the exam. A higher score in any subject Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, or aggregate scores at CET will get the preference. However, after the declaration of the MHT CET result 2022, the qualified candidates will be eligible to appear in the Common Admission Process (CAP). The colleges will be assigned on a merit/rank basis, on the official website of MHT CET 2022.
