During the MHT CET 2026 registration process, candidates will have to provide both their Aadhaar number and APAAR (All-India Pre-Admission Academic Record) ID. Candidates should also ensure that their Aadhaar details, including name, date of birth as per the Class 10 certificate, recent photograph, father’s name, address, and an active mobile number linked to Aadhaar, are accurate and up-to-date.
MHT CET 2026 will be conducted twice from this year—first in April and then in May. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) group exams for MHT CET 2026 are scheduled from April 11 to 19 and May 14 to 17, while Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) exams will be held from April 21 to 26 and May 10 to 11. Students can appear in one or both exams, with the higher score considered for admissions.
The Maharashtra Admission Regulating Authority (ARA) has proposed an increase in the MHT CET 2026 application fee. As per the proposal, open category candidates may be required to pay Rs 1,300, while reserved category candidates may have to pay Rs 1,000. The state has also proposed conducting a mock Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round from the 2026–27 academic session to help candidates familiarise themselves with the admission procedure.

Official data shows an increase in female participation in engineering admissions. Of the total admitted candidates, 62,195 are female and 1,04,550 are male. The female share rose from 35.4% last year to 37.3% in 2025–26, marking a 1.9 percentage point increase.
