MHT CET 2026 Registrations:
The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has opened the registration window for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET 2026) on January 5, 2026. Candidates will be able to access the application forms soon on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. The authority will activate the application window for MHT CET Bachelor of Education (BEd) and 3-year Bachelor of Laws (LLB) entrance exams today, i.e., January 8, 2026.
During the MHT CET 2026 registration process, candidates will have to provide both their
Aadhaar number and APAAR
(All-India Pre-Admission Academic Record) ID. Candidates should also ensure that their Aadhaar details, including name, date of birth as per the Class 10 certificate, recent photograph, father’s name, address, and an active mobile number linked to Aadhaar, are accurate and up-to-date.
MHT CET 2026 will be conducted twice
from this year—first in April and then in May. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) group exams for MHT CET 2026 are scheduled from April 11 to 19 and May 14 to 17, while Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) exams will be held from April 21 to 26 and May 10 to 11. Students can appear in one or both exams, with the higher score considered for admissions.
The Maharashtra Admission Regulating Authority (ARA) has proposed an increase in the
MHT CET 2026 application fee.
As per the proposal, open category candidates may be required to pay Rs 1,300, while reserved category candidates may have to pay Rs 1,000. The state has also proposed conducting a mock Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round from the 2026–27 academic session to help candidates familiarise themselves with the admission procedure.

Official data shows an increase in female participation in engineering admissions. Of the total admitted candidates, 62,195 are female and 1,04,550 are male. The female share rose from 35.4% last year to 37.3% in 2025–26, marking a 1.9 percentage point increase.

MHT CET 2026 Application Form: BE, BTech admissions data
As per last year’s BE and BTech admissions data based on MHT CET scores, 2,02,883 candidates registered for the counselling process, of whom 1,66,746 secured admission. This resulted in an overall admission rate of 82.19%, marking an increase of 11.8% compared with 1,49,078 admissions in the previous year.

Proposed revision in MHT CET 2026 application fee
The Maharashtra Admission Regulating Authority (ARA) has proposed a revision in the MHT CET 2026 application fee. As per the proposal, open category candidates may have to pay Rs 1,300, while candidates from reserved categories may be charged Rs 1,000. The final decision and payment instructions are expected to be notified by the CET Cell.

MHT CET 2026 Registration: PCM, PCB exam date
MHT CET 2026 will be conducted in two phases in April and May. The PCM group examination is scheduled from April 11 to 19 for the first session and from May 14 to 17 for the second session. The PCB group exam will be held from April 21 to 26 in April and from May 10 to 11 in May. Candidates can appear in one or both sessions, with the higher score considered for admissions.

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, is set to open the registration window for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2026. As per available information, the MHT CET 2026 application process is expected to start in the first week of January. Candidates will be able to apply online through the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org, once the registration link is activated.
