Check NowNEW DELHI: Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell will publish the provisional merit list 2024 for admission into BE, BTech courses for the academic session 2024-25. The facility to submit grievances about correction required in the data displayed in provisional merit list will be opened tomorrow and will be active till August 6 at the official website, fe2024.mahacet.org.

Applications registered after July 30 will be considered only for non-CAP seats and applications confirmed by the scrutiny center after July 31 will be considered only for non-CAP seats.
These seats are allotted as per inter-se merit. A separate merit list will be displayed for allocation of seats. Those candidates who have submitted application form through MHT CET CAP portal before the deadline will be assigned a merit number. The MHT CET merit list will be prepared based on the state CET score, marks obtained in the qualifying exam, and other criteria.
“If the marks in the qualifying examination are modified due to verification and the same is duly certified by the concerned Appropriate Authority or Board, the same shall be reported to the Competent Authority for admission through CAP or its designated representatives prior to 5 p.m. on the day of display of final merit list,” it said.

How is MHT CET merit list prepared
For admission to first-year engineering and technology BE, BTech and ME (Integrated), MTech (Integrated), the following methods will be followed to prepare a merit list.
For HSC candidates - The MHT CET counselling merit list for the candidates will be prepared on the basis of marks or score secured in the Maharashtra CET or marks secured in any other examination conducted by the concerned appropriate authority for the purpose of admission to these courses. In case of tie, the relative merit of candidates will be determined in the following order of preference.
- Higher marks or score in mathematics at CET;
- Higher marks or score in physics at CET;
- Higher marks or score in chemistry at CET;
- Higher percentage of marks in board or qualifying examination for physics, mathematics and chemistry taken together;
- Higher percentage of marks in the mathematics at HSC or Class 12 examination;
- Higher percentage of marks in the physics at HSC or Class 12 exam.
- Higher percentage of marks in aggregate at HSC or Class 12 exam.
