Maharashtra CET 2025: Normalization
The State Common Entrance Cell conducts the MHT CET in several shifts, and to ensure fairness among students with different exam papers, a percentile is calculated for every shift through the ‘normalization’ method. Each student is ranked according to their percentile in their shift.
So, if a candidate scores a higher percentile in the first shift, and another candidate scores a lesser percentile in the second shift, the overall rank of the first candidate will be higher. Percentile will be separate from marks obtained. Candidates appearing for both the PCM and PCB papers, cannot transfer their respective percentiles.
