MIT MAHE Manipal launches MIT Manipal Alumni Association; unveils MITMAA logo
MITMAA: The committee aims to provide MITians with a forum for connections and cooperative opportunities.

NEW DELHI : The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) Manipal has launched the MIT Manipal Alumni Association (MITMAA) to unite generations of MIT graduates and honor their common heritage. The ceremony reflected the institute’s history, which started as Manipal Engineering College under the direction of TMA Pai, the official MIT note said.
The executive committee of MITMAA including Sahil Talwar the president; Kasturi Das Talukdar, vice-president; Gajanan Pai the secretory; Ananya Dutta the joint secretory; Suhas Y Nayak the treasurer; and Akashatha KR the joint treasurer were present for the ceremony.
The president and vice president of MITMAA presented the organisation’s mission to the audience at the event. The president and other office-bearers received praise for their commitment to empower and bring the alumni network together, the official MIT notice added.

According to the official MIT statement, the committee aims to provide MITians with a forum for connections and cooperative opportunities.
“The unveiling of the MITMAA logo, a patent representation of solidarity, individuality, and the shared goals of thousands of alumni was the event’s high point,” the MIT note added.
The event was attended by Vinod Eswaran the MD and CEO at Jio Payments Bank as the chief guest; MD Venkatesh the vice-chancellor at MAHE was present as the guest of honor; Anil Rana the director of MIT Manipal; Somashekara Bhat the joint director at MIT Manipal; and Kanthi M the associate director, alumni, public, and international relations.
Appraising the alumni team MD Venkatesh, the vice-chancellor of MAHE said: “A pivotal event that highlights the power of our alumni network and its vital role in furthering the institutions’ goal is the founding of MIT Manipal Alumni Association. The legacy of the institution is carried on by its alumni and MITMAA offers a forum for utilizing their combined knowledge and experience”.
