Mizoram University gets new hostel for researchers, faculty development centre

Mizoram University is the only university in North East India to be placed in "THE IMPACT Rankings 2022" by Times Higher Education.

NEW DELHI: Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, minister of state for education, inaugurated a research scholar hostel and faculty development centre at Mizoram University today, May 28, 2022. The minister said that he was glad to see the infrastructural development and academic expansion of Mizoram University in the past 22 years. He congratulated the students and staff of Mizoram University for their efforts in making the university one of the best institutions in the North East and the whole of India.

Mizoram University is the only university in North East India to be placed in "THE IMPACT Rankings 2022" by Times Higher Education (THE). According to Singh, the education ministry is helping universities and other educational institutions in their projects for developing infrastructure with the objective to create an environment for learning, research and innovation.

The minister also appreciated Mizoram University for being one of the first universities in India to have implemented the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 from this academic year. He hopes that the newly integrated faculty development centre will help the professors as well as teachers across Mizoram in professional development and promote innovation in teaching and learning. Singh also said that he hopes Mizoram University will become a leading institution in India through hard work and dedication.
