The Madhya Pradesh Directorate of Medical Education (DME) has commenced the MP National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG counselling 2026 round 2 registration for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. As per the schedule, candidates can register from September 5 to 6, 2026, up to 11.59 pm.

Candidates who have already registered can also edit their details during this period, except those who have been admitted through round 1 of MP NEET UG counselling 2026.

The physical and virtual vacancy list will be published on September 7, followed by the revised MP NEET UG merit list and eligible candidates list on the same day. Candidates seeking admission or upgradation will then have to complete fresh choice filling and choice locking from September 7 to 9, 2026, up to 11.59 pm.

MP NEET UG 2026 counselling round 2 schedule

The MP NEET UG seat allotment result for round 2 will be announced on September 11. Candidates allotted seats will have to report to their respective medical or dental colleges for document verification and admission between September 12 and 18, up to 6 PM.

MP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2: Steps to register

Fresh candidates can register for MP NEET UG round 2 counselling 2026 by following the steps given below.

  • Visit the official DME MP counselling portal: dme.mponline.gov.in
  • Select “UG Counselling (MBBS/BDS)” and open the Round 2 registration link.
  • Click on fresh registration.
  • Enter the required NEET UG 2026 details, including roll number/application details and date of birth.
  • Enter personal, academic and other required details in the application form.
  • Upload the required documents as specified on the portal.
  • Pay the applicable counselling registration fee/security deposit through the available online payment mode.
  • Preview the application and verify all details carefully.
  • Submit the registration form.
  • Download and save the completed application form and payment receipt for future reference.

MP NEET UG Counselling Round 2: Choice filling mandatory

Candidates who want to participate in round 2, including candidates admitted in round 1 who are seeking upgradation, must complete fresh choice filling and choice locking within the specified deadline.

Those who are admitted through round 2 and those admitted in round 1 who opted for upgradation but could not secure an upgraded seat will also have to exercise their willingness for upgradation in the mop-up round. The upgradation option can be edited through the candidate login until September 18, 2026, up to 11.59 pm.

Candidates who opt for upgradation in round 2 but fail to lock their fresh choices will remain admitted to their round 1 college and will not be eligible for upgradation in the mop-up round.

MP NEET UG round 1 MBBS closing ranks

The MP NEET UG counselling round 1 closing ranks and scores (All India Rank) have been provided by the DME. The data shows that government MBBS colleges recorded closing NEET scores ranging from 530 to 607 among the listed UR/X/OP allotments.

The highest closing score was 607 at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, Indore, followed by 593 at Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal and 576 at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur.

Candidates should note that those resigning or cancelling their admission between September 12 and 18, 2026 will have to pay a penalty. The resignation fee is Rs 2 lakh for non-NRI candidates and Rs 10 lakh for NRI candidates. Such candidates will also become ineligible to participate in subsequent counselling rounds.
