National Institute of Design BDes Admission: NID studio test tomorrow; exam day instructions

NEW DELHI: National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the NID DAT studio test for B.Des mains tomorrow, June 18 from 9 am to 1 pm. The Design Aptitude Test (DAT) will be held in seven cities across the country - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata & Pune. Candidates who have not yet got the admit card can download it from the official website of NID DAT - admissions.nid.edu.

“Due to the prevailing situation of CoVID-19 pandemic and uncertainties arising thereof, NID DAT mains B.Des exam for admission cycle 2022-23 will be conducted in hybrid mode,” reads an official notice on the NID website.

NID Studio Test 2022 (B.Des mains) - Important guidelines

• It is mandatory for candidates to appear in the studio test. The final merit list will be prepared based on scores of prelims and mains. NID DAT B.Des mains will have 60% weightage.

• Candidates must bring a hard copy of the NID DAT B.Des mains exam admit card at the exam center along with a valid ID proof.

• Appearing for the NID DAT B.Des mains ( studio test) exam does not warrant admission to the B.Des program at one of the NIDs.

Steps to download admit card for NID DAT B.Des mains exam:

Step 1: Visit the official website of NID - admissions.nid.edu or click here .

Step 2: Click on “ Download NID DAT B.Des Mains Studio Test Admit Card”

Step 3: Enter your email address and date of birth and click on submit button

Step 4: Download admit card and take a printout

NID DAT is a national-level design entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Design for admission to UG and PG design courses offered by NIDs. Merit for admission to the B.Des course is prepared on the basis of scores obtained by a candidate in prelims and mains ( studio test). The result of the NID DAT B.Des mains exam 2022 will be announced on the official website after the test.
