NEW DELHI, October 23: National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the application form of NEET 2019 from November 1, 2018. The application form will be available in online mode only. It must be noted that only eligible candidates can register for NEET UG 2019. More than 13 lakh aspirants will be applying for national level medical entrance examination. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be held on May 5 in pen and paper mode. With just seven days left for NEET online registration to begin, below are the 6 important points to keep in mind while applying for the medical exam.

1. NEET UG 2019 Application Form will be available on New website

Since NTA will be conducting NEET entrance exam instead of CBSE, thus it was expected that the NEET application form 2019 will be available on the official website of NTA. The application form will be released on ntaneet.nic.in. The website is under construction and will be functional on November 1.

2. Aadhaar Card is not mandatory for filling NEET application form

As per directives of the Supreme Court of India on September 26, the Aadhaar card is not mandatory to apply for NEET UG. The notification by NTA also clarifies that the Aadhaar number is only one of the types of identification and is not mandatory. Apart from the Aadhaar number, candidates can also enter one of following ID details:

  • Passport number

  • Ration card number

  • Bank account number, or

  • Any other valid government identity proof

3. Keep scanned images of passport size photograph and signature ready

The scanned images of passport size photograph and signature must be kept ready by aspirants before start filling NEET 2019 application form. The uploading of images must be done as per the specifications mentioned.

For Photograph:

  • The photograph should be taken three months before the date of uploading

  • It should be coloured photograph and taken on a white background

  • The name of candidate and date of capturing the photograph should be mentioned at the bottom

  • The file size should be between 10 KB to 100 KB in JPG format

  • Aspirants are advised to preserve at least 5 similar photograph, which will be used at later stages of admission process

For Signature:

  • The scanned image of signature should be uploaded in the designated box provided in the NEET UG 2019 application form

  • It should be done in running hand with black pen on a white background

  • The file size must be between 3 KB to 20 KB in JPG format

4. Select NEET 2019 exam city within the particular region

While filling NEET 2019 application form, all the aspirants appearing for the offline exam in regional/vernacular languages will be allowed to choose a city located in the particular state, in which the selected language is spoken.

5. Keep qualifying exam documents in hand before NEET registration 2019

It is better to keep the following education details/documents ready before filling the application form. Keeping the details and relevant documents ready will assists aspirants in reducing their time to fill the form.

  • Class 10 details – Board details, school name and address, year of passing, percentage obtained

  • Class 12 details – Name and address of school, status (pass/appearing), place of study, state and city details, code of qualifying exam, roll number and percentage secured

6. NEET application fee can be paid in online mode

It is mandatory for aspirants to pay the application fee of NEET 2019 for successful submission of the form. NEET application fee can only be paid in online mode through credit cards/debit cards or net banking. Therefore, candidates are suggested to keep the debit/credit cards or net banking details ready before start filling the application form. The application fee for general and OBC aspirants is Rs. 1400, while for SC/ST/PH candidates, it is Rs. 750.

However, in case candidates have entered any incorrect details in the application form, then the authority will open the facility to correct such details within the stipulated time period. The correction procedure of NTA NEET application form 2019 will begin after the last date of submission.
