The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon announce the schedule for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). In a major relief for NEET aspirants, Vineet Joshi, Director General, NTA in an interview with
NDTV
and
India TV
, said that the NEET 2021 exam date will be announced by this week. Aspirants have been requesting Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ to release the NEET exam date 2021 for over a month now.

The delay in the announcement of the exam date of NEET 2021 has created a lot of confusion among students. Students preparing for NEET 2021 also requested the NTA and education minister for conducting the exam twice a year. However, Joshi also confirmed that NEET 2021 will be conducted only once, according to the NDTV report .
NEET 2021 exam date to be announced this week
After much delay, there is an update on the NEET schedule. As per the report, Joshi said that the NEET 2021 exam date will be announced by the authorities this week. It is expected that the release of the NEET application form will be announced along with the notification at ntaneet.nic.in .
NEET 2021 schedule was expected to be released by the end of February 2021. Usually, the NEET schedule is released in the month of November - December and the exam is conducted on the first Sunday of May. For this academic session, no official announcement on NEET 2021 has been made yet. However, NEET-UG 2021 is likely to be conducted in June/ July after the conclusion of Class 12 board exams.
NEET 2021 will be conducted only once
As per the reports, the ministry of health and family welfare (MoHFW) had given a nod to conduct NEET 2021 exam two times a year , after a meeting was reportedly held by education and health ministries on January 25, 2021. However, the NTA director-general has clarified that the exam will be held only once, as per the NDTV report.

In addition to the release date of the NEET 2021 schedule, there have been updates on the exam pattern and syllabus of the NEET exam.
