The NTA has announced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2026) city allotment slip on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.

While most of the institutes have raised their annual fees by a few lakhs, one has seen an extraordinary increase of Rs 8 lakh per year. The highest annual MBBS fee has now surged to a staggering Rs 30.5 lakh.

This brings the total cost of the four-and-a-half-year program to nearly Rs 1.37 crore. When additional expenses such as hostel, mess, and university fees are included, the overall cost exceeds Rs 1.5 crore by the time a student completes their medical degree.

Furthermore, the number of colleges charging over Rs 1 crore in total tuition has risen sharply—from 16 in 2022–23 to 32 today—now making up more than half of all deemed universities.
