NEW DELHI: The admission body, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), has started the registration of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - NEET 2021 counselling process round one. NEET 2021 qualified applicants can apply for MBBS/BDS counselling on MCC's official website - mcc.nic.in .The last date for NEET UG counselling registration is January 24, 2022. After the registration process, MCC will begin the NEET 2021 choice filling and locking process from tomorrow, January 20, 2022.

NEET 2021 counselling choice filling process will be available for five days till January 24. Aspirants will need to select and fill their choices of colleges in which they wish to take admission. Candidates can choose as many colleges during MCC NEET UG counselling 2021 process. Applicants should lock their choices to prevent them from being automatically locked.

As per the updated schedule, MCC will hold NEET counselling in four rounds - round 1, round 2, mop-up round, and stray vacancy round.The results of the first round of NEET counselling for 2021 will be announced on January 29, 2022.

NEET 2021 counselling - Steps to fill choices

  • Go to the official website - mcc.nic.in

  • Login using roll number, password and security pin

  • Click on ‘Choice filling’ link

  • Select the course - MBBS/BDS

  • Choose the number of colleges from AIQ, deemed/central, ESIC, AIIMS, JIPMER for admission

  • Save the filled in choices and verify them carefully

  • Once verified, click on lock button

The NEET 2021 examination was held on September 12, and the result was announced on November 1, 2021. Out of 15,44,275 candidates who appeared, 8,70,074 have qualified the NEET-UG entrance exam. Through NEET counselling, the admission to 89,395 MBBS, 27,948 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 603 BVSc, and AH will be done. Furthermore, there will be 1,899 AIIMS seats and 249 MBBS seats available at AIIMS and JIPMER, respectively.
