NEW DELHI: With Supreme Court dismissing the petition to postpone the National Eligibility Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG), the exam will now be held on the scheduled date, March 5, 2023. Due to the limited seats in government medical colleges and private universities, NEET PG 2023 is considered one of the most challenging medical entrance examinations in India.

Sharing some preparation tips and strategies for the last few days, Dr Rajesh K Kaushal, PrepLadder Educator said: “It is a wise call to devote equated time to various sections as each carries significant weightage in themselves. Authentic and verified resources can go a long way in helping a candidate during their preparation, as there are minor differences in the options given and many questions have arguable answers.”

The educator has also shared the top five recommended resources for NEET PG preparation. These are:

1. Mock tests and Grand Tests - Simulation of the exam

2. Previous Year Questions Books e.g., NEET Essence by Dr Pritesh Singh

3. Previous Year Question papers and YouTube Videos uploaded by subject experts

4. Quick Revision Videos and Notes by online study platforms

5. First Aid (Edition 2023) - by Tao Le and Vikas Bhushan: A quick and comprehensive book to quickly revise all 19 subjects

While there is an ocean of expert content available for the purpose of entrance preparation, the educator has asked the candidates to keep these in mind for their last days of preparation:

1. Follow authentic and verified source material

Candidates are advised to refer to standardized source materials (Video Lectures and Notes) prepared by a subject expert.

2. Master updated question banks

Based on the latest exam pattern, they should follow the simulation exam with a national ranking to evaluate their preparations in such competitive times. Along with this, a revision of the previous year’s questions with detailed sample answers should be undertaken.

3. Opt for certified resources for learning

Since NEET PG is a competitive exam, among equal calibre candidates, a defined strategy is paramount to ace it, the Prepladder educator said. The candidates need to know everything about a few topics and a few things about every topic. The best guide is the Previous Year Questions, which help the candidate choose high-yielding topics according to the latest pattern of exams. Additionally, candidates need to master the technique of solving MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions), which demands speed with accuracy.
