NEET PG Counselling 2026 Date: Step-by-step process, documents required, MCC registration and seat allotment

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has published NEET PG 2026 result and qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the postgraduate medical counselling process for admission to MD, MS, DNB, and other postgraduate medical courses for the academic session 2026-27.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the online NEET PG seat allotment process for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) postgraduate medical seats. The counselling will also conduct counselling for 100% seats of deemed universities, 100% seats of specified central universities/institutions, and certain other categories of seats covered under its counselling process.NEET PG LIVE updates.

The state counselling authorities conduct counselling for seats falling under their respective state counselling processes. Once the NEET PG counselling 2026 begins, eligible candidates will have to register through the official MCC counselling portal. The registration dates, fee and other application-related requirements will be mentioned on the official MCC notification once released.

Documents required, choice-filling

Candidates should keep their admission and identity documents ready before counselling registration and reporting. For admission/reporting, candidates will have to produce original documents for verification. MCC and the allotted institution may also prescribe category- or seat-specific documents.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories, PwBD candidates and NRI candidates should pay particular attention to the certificates and supporting documents applicable to their category.

In choice-filling, candidates select their preferred colleges and postgraduate courses and arrange them according to their preference. After completing choice filling, candidates have to lock their choices within the deadline. As part of next step, the committee will process the choices before publishing the seat allotment result.
