NEET PG cutoff for government colleges in MD general medicine, radiodiagnosis branch

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the NEET PG counselling for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical colleges across all states. In the last admission session, MD general medicine at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences (ABVIMS) opened admissions at rank 1 and closed at rank 15 in MCC round 1 AIQ counselling. MD radiodiagnosis, the most sought-after branch, opened at rank 4 and closed at rank 25 for general category candidates.

Among all medical colleges, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr RML Hospital had the highest closing rank for MD general medicine. The lowest cutoff for MD general medicine in MCC round 1 counselling was rank 211728, recorded at BVMC Pune.

For economically weaker section (EWS) candidates, MD radiodiagnosis closed at rank 41. While for MD general medicine in the same category, it closed at rank 335.

NEET PG cut-off for general category

The NEET PG opening and closing ranks for the general category candidates in MD general medicine for 50% AIQ quota seats are shown in the table below.

The NEET PG branch-wise cutoffs for this year will be released by the counselling committee after completion of the admission process. The NEET PG cutoffs are based on seat availability in a particular medical college.

NEET PG Result Date 2026

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducted the NEET PG 2026 exam for more than 2.65 lakh candidates this year. For the first time, NBEMS will issue the NEET PG answer key along with the response sheet for the candidates on its official website. NBEMS will declare the NEET PG result 2026 by September 30.
