The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET PG) counselling 2026 schedule. Candidates who have qualified the NEET PG 2026 exam can register online through the official MCC counselling portal and participate in the admission process for postgraduate medical courses from October 12.

The NEET PG counselling 2026 will cover seats under the All India Quota (AIQ) and other categories handled by MCC. Candidates are required to complete the registration process within the prescribed deadline to participate in the NEET PG counselling.

After NEET PG registration, candidates will have to complete the choice filling and choice locking process. Based on the choices submitted, NEET PG rank, category and seat availability, MCC will announce the seat allotment result.

Steps to complete NEET PG counselling 2026 registration

Candidates can follow the steps below to complete their NEET PG counselling registration:

  • Visit the official MCC website.
  • Open the PG Medical Counselling section.
  • Click on the NEET PG 2026 counselling registration link.
  • Select New Registration.
  • Enter the required NEET PG 2026 details, personal information and contact details.
  • Create the required login credentials.
  • Complete the counselling application form.
  • Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
  • Pay the counselling registration fee and security deposit, as applicable.
  • Submit the application form and save the confirmation page for future reference.

Candidates should carefully check all details entered in the registration form before submitting it.

NEET PG Counselling 2026: Documents required

Candidates should keep the following documents ready while registering for counselling:

  • NEET PG 2026 admit card
  • NEET PG 2026 scorecard
  • MBBS degree certificate
  • MBBS marksheets
  • MBBS registration certificate
  • Internship completion certificate
  • Valid government-issued photo ID
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Category certificate, if applicable
  • PwD certificate, if applicable
  • Date of birth proof
  • Permanent or provisional medical registration certificate
  • Migration certificate, if applicable
  • Other documents specified by MCC or the allotted institute

Candidates should keep both original documents and scanned copies ready for the counselling and NEET PG admission process.

The NEET PG 2026 examination was held on August 30 in computer-based mode. The exam was scheduled for 2,73,096 candidates across 1,111 centres in 339 cities, while 2,65,980 candidates appeared. NBEMS declared the NEET PG 2026 result on September 24.
