NEET Result 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) result 2025 soon for over 20 lakh candidates. NTA will make the NEET UG result link 2025 available on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.
Candidates will have to use their login details such as application number and password to check their NEET UG 2025 rank. Along with the NEET 2025 result, the testing agency will also announce NEET UG toppers list 2025 and NEET UG cut-off 2025.
The national level medical test NEET UG 2025 is conducted for admission to undergraduate medical courses, including MBBS, BDS, Dental, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS in central universities across India.
As per the marking scheme, candidates will be awarded four marks for each correct answer, whereas one mark will be deducted for each wrong response. For unanswered or un-attempted questions, no marks will be awarded or deducted.
The NTA conducted the NEET UG 2025 on May 4 in a single shift from 2 pm to 5 pm. The medical exam question paper consists of 180 multiple choice questions (MCQs) from Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) subjects.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), under the Government of India, will oversee the counselling process for 15 percent of All India Quota (AIQ) seats. This includes seats in deemed universities, central universities, ESIC, AFMC, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Applications for AIQ counselling will be accepted as per the DGHS guidelines, and the process will conclude once all available seats are filled. Last year's Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) NEET highest cut-off was 57390 at Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, New Delhi, and the lowest was 202493 for Thiruvananthapuram college. As per the official schedule, NTA will declare the NEET UG 2025 result tomorrow on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. Candidates will be able to access their NEET result 2025 using their application number and password.
According to the data shared by ministry of health and family welfare, MBBS seats have currently increased to 1,18,190 from 51,348 before 2014, and PG seats to 74,306 from 31,185 before 2014. Additionally, there has been an increase of 101.5% in medical colleges to 780 as of now, as per the ministry.

According to the data by ministry of health and family welfare in April 2025, a total of 1,18,190 MBBS seats are available in India, of which 1,15,250 have been filled through NEET counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee. As per NMC, over 97.5% MBBS seats are filled through NEET UG 2024-25. Tamil Nadu has 38 government medical colleges, the highest among all the states, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 35, Maharashtra has 32, and Karnataka has over 40 private medical colleges, which is the highest in India.

According to the NEET passing marks, candidates belonging to the general category have to score 50th percentile in the exam. For SC, ST categories, passing marks are the 40th percentile. Lastly, candidates who are physically handicapped need 45th percentile to pass the NEET 2025 exam.

A question in the NEET UG 2025 paper sparked confusion among aspirants due to two correct answer choices. The issue, flagged in question number 63 of the test booklet code 45, raised concerns among students and teachers. However, the NTA has a clear rule for such cases. If more than one option is correct, candidates selecting any of the correct answers will be awarded four marks. If all options are correct or none are, full marks will be given to all who attempted, or all candidates, respectively.
