NEET UG 2022 Counselling: MCC adds 242 more MBBS seats for round 1

Try NowNEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has decided to add 242 more MBBS seats for round 1 NEET UG counselling 2022. The announcement comes a day after the MCC added 197 seats in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG 2022) round 1 counselling.
The choice filling window for MCC NEET UG 2022 counselling was temporarily closed on October 18 for the addition of these seats. The MCC clarified that the information on new seats could not be contributed by the medical colleges before the start of NEET UG round-1 Counselling 2022 as LoPs from NMC were received on October 17.
“It has been decided to include the following MBBS seats in the seat matrix of Round-1 of UG Counselling 2022 for the larger interest of candidates. The freshly contributed seats are being added to the seat matrix,” the MCC said in the new notice.

“Also the seats of NRI Quota in Aligarh Muslim University were not being displayed to the eligible candidate is now rectified. The eligible candidates will now be able to exercise the choice filling on the NRI Quota Seats in Aligarh Muslim University,” it informed.
A total of 242 MBBS seats have been added to the seat matrix. Colleges that have added MBBS seats in round 1 counselling include, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Bihta, GMERS Medical College, Government Medical Colleges in Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
