NEET UG 2023: No cut-off date for SC, ST certificate, NTA clarifies

Try NowNEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that no cut-off date is applicable in Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) certificate for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG 2023). NEET 2023 notification has been amended accordingly, the NTA informed.

“With respect to the Information Bulletin for NEET (UG) - 2023, it is clarified that no cut off date for SC/ST certificate in favour of concerned candidates has been stipulated,” the NTA said.
The SC/ST certificate format given in the NEET UG information brochure, “I understand that as per the new guideline from the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, GoI, I am required to submit the SC/ST certificate. Since I have not been able to collect the said certificate on time, I may kindly be allowed to write NEET (UG) - 2023 provisionally. I hereby declare that I will upload a fresh certificate at the time of reporting after seat allocation.”

“Inability to upload the same by the given date and time will lead to the withdrawal of the SC/ST benefit,” the NEET UG 2023 SC, ST certificate format read.

As per the NEET 2023 reservation policy, 15% of seats in every course is reserved for SC and 7.5% of seats for ST and 5% seats in each of GEN, GEN-EWS, OBCNCL, SC, and ST category seats for PwD candidates. Candidates will have to register online at neet.nta.nic.in 2023 before the NEET UG registration last date 2023.
