NEW DELHI: Candidates found the NEET UG 2025 moderate in difficulty level with the physics section again on the tougher side like last year. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Undergraduate today, May 4, offline in a single shift from 2 pm to 5 pm. NEET UG 2025 live updates.
Around 22.7 lakh candidates appeared for the medical entrance exam. In a duration of three hours, candidates had to attempt 180 compulsory questions on physics, chemistry, and biology as NTA revised the NEET UG exam pattern 2025.
While the physics section in NEET question paper 2025 continued to be tough, students rated the chemistry and biology parts easier.
A NEET UG 2025 aspirant Shweta said her exam went well and this was her first attempt. "Biology was easiest and physics the hardest," she said. "I did chemistry last and because of that had to leave two questions.
"The exam was slightly difficult, physics was very tough and biology was easy. I've attempted but I'll have to see how I've done. Chemistry and bio were fine," said an aspirant Aditya from RK Puram, Delhi.
Another NEET candidate, Shefali Agarwal from Dabri, said, "Physics was hard. The questions were out-of-the-box and lengthy -- they'd take time to read. Chemistry and biology were easy. I just found physics difficult."
"The exam centre delayed the entry. I had 300-400 kids in front of me but they were taking long to take our photos and their tabs [tablet PCs] were not working. I literally fainted inside, it was so hot. They hadn't made arrangements. Exam can be offline but it must be managed properly," added Agarwal.

Two candidates missed the NEET exam 2025 for being late to the exam centre while another two were saved by police officials from losing the NEET attempt this year. While one of them reached the wrong NEET UG exam centre 2025, the other violated NEET dress code for female candidates by wearing clothes with several buttons.
The beginning of this year’s NEET exam also met with a slight ruckus as parents alleged that students were not allowed to carry water bottles despite them being among things to carry for NEET 2025 at some centres whereas some candidates were given entry without biometric verification.
As per marking scheme, there will be negative marking in NEET 2025 of one mark for each wrong answer. For every correct response, examinees will be awarded four marks. No marks will be given for unanswered questions.
