Police save the day for 2 NEET UG 2025 candidates; another duo misses exam

Try NowNEW DELHI : From police coming to candidate’s rescue and allowing examinees without biometric verification to staff restricting water bottles and late comers inside exam hall, NEET UG 2025 commenced with a mixed state of affairs. In two separate incidents, police officers turned angels for two NEET 2025 candidates whereas two other MBBS aspirants missed their exam as they reached late at the exam centre. A NEET 2025 candidate mistakenly arrived at the wrong NEET UG exam centre 2025 in Haryana’s Gurugram. However, a police officer took prompt action. Upon realizing the error, the officer offered to help and took her on his motorcycle to the correct examination centre, ensuring she arrived on time to take her exam.
In another act of kindness, a female police officer assisted a NEET UG 2025 candidate at a Tamil Nadu centre who was not following NEET dress code for female 2025 . The female candidate was reportedly wearing clothes with ‘too many’ buttons. The policewoman took the MBBS aspirant on her two-wheeler and got her new clothes to ensure the student writes her exam on time.
A parent of a NEET exam candidate complained that the police did not allow students to take water bottles inside the examination hall despite clear instructions from NTA on what to carry for NEET 2025 . On the other hand, a guardian alleged shortage of staff and that examinees were given entry without a biometric verification.

"There was a shortage of staff over here and so, the biometric verification took a lot of time. The students stood out in the sun for close to one-and-a-half hours. Once they realised that the exam time is approaching, they allowed the candidates to go inside without biometric checking. I want to know if they'll do the verification inside the exam hall and if so, whether they'll get extra time, " said a parent at a Sainik Vikar centre in Delhi.
