NTA has advised candidates to carefully enter accurate banking details, including account holder name, bank account number, IFSC code, and bank name, to avoid delays or errors in payment processing.
The refund amount will be as per the fees charged category wise. The refund details as per the category are shown in the table below:

More than 22 lakh students are expected to appear for the NEET UG re-test, which will be conducted in offline pen-and-paper mode on June 21 from 2 PM to 5:15 PM.

NTA has also clarified that candidates will not be allowed to change the exam language or medium selected during their original application.
NTA NEET 2026 Refund: Steps to claim
Candidates can follow the below steps to claim the NEET UG 2026 refund;
- Open the official NEET portal.
- Sign in using your application number and password/date of birth.
- Click on the active fee refund or bank details update link.
- Fill in valid banking details, including account holder name, account number, and IFSC code.
- Check all details carefully to avoid payment issues.
- Submit the form and save the confirmation page for future reference.
As part of the refund process, NTA clarified that payment gateway fees and bank-related charges will not be included in the reimbursed amount.
