NEET UG, JEE Main, CUCET 2022 exam schedule likely next week; Know expected dates here

NEW DELHI: Engineering and medical aspirants have been waiting for the exams dates of the two largest entrance examinations - Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains 2022) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG 2022). The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the exam dates for JEE Main 2022, NEET UG 2022 and also Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2022) next week, as per the PTI report.

Last year, the NTA faced a barrage of criticism after reports of cheating in JEE Main and NEET paper leak surfaced. CUCET exam conducted for admission to central universities was not held due to Covid-19 pandemic. The University Grants Commission had, however, asked the universities to start preparing for the common entrance test for undergraduate (UG) admission 2022.
JEE Main 2022 Exam Date
The NTA has decided to conduct the JEE Main 2022 starting from April. This year, the aspirants will only get two attempts instead of four. The previous year, considering the pandemic situation and providing aspirants with another chance to improve their scores, the NTA held JEE main exam in four phases.
JEE Mains first phase was held in February and the second in March. The third and fourth phases scheduled in April and May were postponed in view of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The last two attempts were then conducted in August and September.
The NTA JEE Main 2022 dates, eligibility and complete schedule will be announced soon at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
NEET UG 2022 Date
“The Medical Advisory Council of the National Medical Commission had a meeting with National Testing Agency (NTA) last week. The schedule for the three entrance exams is likely to be announced sometime next week,” the PTI reported.
The report says the NTA will be conducting JEE Mains 2022, NEET and CUCET 2022 exams starting from April. However, as per the Times of India report, NEET UG 2022 exam will be held between the third week of June and the first week of July. The NEET UG 2022 exam date will be soon released on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.
Over 15 lakh medical aspirants appear for NEET, every year. As per the reports, NEET-UG 2022 is expected to be conducted on any Sunday between the last week of June and the first week of July.
NEET 2022 will be conducted in the pen and paper mode for admission to 89,395 MBBS, 27,948 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 603 BVSc and AH seats including 1,899 AIIMS and 249 JIPMER seats
CUCET 2022 Date
CUCET 2022 for admission to central universities including Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Visva Bharati University will be conducted in the months of June-July, as per the report. The Ministry of Education will issue the notification on the conduct of CUCET exam next week while NTA will announce exam dates and registration details.
While Delhi University, JNU have decided to hold CUCET 2022, the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has decided not to participate in the common entrance test for UG admission 2022. The AMU academic council has decided to continue with the existing admission policy.
JEE Advanced 2022 exam date
On February 24, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay announced the JEE Advanced 2022 exam date. As per the institute, the JEE Advanced 2022 exam will be held on July 3. The JEE Advanced 2022 registration process will begin on June 8 on the official website - jeeadv.ac.in - and will conclude by June 14. Only those candidates who attain a rank under 2,50,000 in JEE Mains 2022 exam will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2022.
