NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) re-exam 2024 today, on June 23. The NEET retest 2024 was arranged for a total of 1,563 candidates. These candidates had been granted NEET grace marks to compensate for the time lost, which had sparked controversy over the decision. Out of the total 1,563 candidates, 750 students skipped the NEET retest 2024.

The NEET 2024 retest was conducted in 7 exam centres-Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Meghalaya, and Chandigarh, a Union Territory. The NEET 2024 re-exam was held from 2 pm to 5:20 pm.
The NEET re-exam 2024 data reveals that in Chandigarh (UT), St Joseph's Sr School had 2 eligible candidates, none of whom appeared. In Chhattisgarh, at Swami Atmanand Utkrist Hindi Medium Govt. Girls H.S. School, 176 out of 417 candidates (57.05%) appeared, and at DAV Ispat Sr Secondary Public School, 115 out of 185 candidates (62.16%) appeared. As per the NEET 2024 retest statistics, in Gujarat, Mount Litera Zee School saw full attendance with 1 candidate appearing.

On June 22, late evening, the Home Ministry announced the postponement of the NEET PG 2024 examinations, which were originally scheduled for today. The government assured that new dates for the examination would be announced shortly. Officials emphasized that this decision was made to protect the best interests of the students and to uphold the integrity and fairness of the examination process.
