NEST 2019 notification out; Application to begin from Jan 7; Exam scheduled on June 1

New Delhi, January 2 : The National Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhubaneswar (NISER), and the University of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence (UM-DAE CEBS) in Basic Sciences will begin the application form for NEST 2019 from January 7, 2019. NEST 2019 is scheduled to be held on June 1, 2019. The National Entrance Screening Test, popularly known as NEST, is conducted for candidates who wish to seek admissions into the integrated MSc programmes offered by NISER and UM-DAE CEBS.
The NEST application process will be conducted in online mode. Candidates will have to click on the official link for the NEST 2019 application form. To complete the application process, candidates will have to first register themselves, fill the requisite details in the application form, upload all the necessary documents, and remit the application fee.
NEST is a computer-based entrance examination held in as many as 90 cities across India. The three-hour examination will be for 180 marks and will consist of multiple choice questions.
Candidates who have applied for NEST 2019 will be admitted to the institutes on the basis of their scores in the entrance test.
About NEST
The National Entrance Screening Test is conducted every year by NISER and UM-DAE CEBS for candidates seeking admissions into the integrated MSc programmes offered by the institutes. The test aims to test the candidates’ aptitude for sciences and their familiarity with the major milestones in fields including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Zoology.
