NFSU opens admissions for UG, PG, diploma courses in forensic science, cybersecurity; apply by June 10

The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) has opened applications for admissions to its undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and diploma programmes for the academic year 2026-27. Candidates seeking admissions to forensic science, cybersecurity, criminology, and crime scene investigation programmes can apply online through the official website at nfsuadm.samarth.edu.in.

The NFSU Chennai campus will close the applications for admission to various UG, PG, diploma programmes on June 10.

JM Vyas, founder-vice chancellor, National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), said: “Our endeavour is to touch the lives of every student by inculcating prudence, efficiency, and a deep commitment to human values. We want our campuses to be the ultimate breeding ground for positive ideas and to emerge as the primary forensic science think tank of the country.”

NFSU Admissions 2026: Eligibility, programmes

The NFSU has 16 campuses across India and the Chennai campus offers several programmes such as MSc Forensic Science, MSc Cyber Security, BSc Criminology and Forensic Science, and Diploma in crime scene management.

As per the eligibility criteria, students with bachelor’s degree in science, forensic science, medicine, engineering, pharmacy, dentistry or AYUSH disciplines with at least 55% are eligible for admission to NFSU programmes. This is for general, Other Backward Classes (OBC) - Non Creamy Layer (NCL), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates.

Whereas, those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) category must have a minimum of 50% or equivalent marks to be eligible.

“The MSc Cyber Security programme is designed for graduates from Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, BCA and related disciplines from recognised universities with a minimum of 55 per cent marks, while SC/ST/PwD candidates require a minimum of 50 per cent marks,” according to a press release.

Students seeking admission to the BSc Criminology and Forensic Science programme at NFSU must have completed Class 12 or equivalent in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics.

General, OBC, EWS students must have scored at least 55% marks and SC, ST, PwD students should have secured 50% or equivalent marks to be eligible for the BSc programme.
