NEW DELHI: The National Institute of Design is conducting the NID DAT 2021 today, March 14 in pen and paper mode in 23 cities. NID DAT prelims exam for Bachelor of Design(B.Des) will be held from 10 am to 1 pm. However, the prelims exam for Master of Design(M.Des) will be conducted from 10 am - 2.30 pm. NID Design Aptitude Test is conducted every year at national level for the aspiring students seeking admission in BDes and MDes programmes.

NID DAT 2021 - Exam day guidelines
Following the exam day guidelines strictly is necessary as being lenient at the exam centres may cause the cancellation of the candidature. The NID DAT exam day guidelines are as follows.
Carry NID DAT admit card along with a valid identification card. None of the candidates will be allowed to enter the exam hall without the admit card.
Candidates must carry the duly filled COVID 19 self-declaration form to the exam centres.
It is advisable to report to the exam centres at least 2 hour prior to the exam.
It is mandatory for the candidates to wear a face mask. However, students will be asked to remove the facemask at the entry gate for identification purposes.
Possession of any unauthorised items such as electronic devices and study items is strictly prohibited.
In case, if the candidate is found using or possession of restricted items or indulging in unfair means then they shall be disqualified from taking admission in the institutes.
Carrying the question cum answer outside the examination hall is a punishable offense.
Students are allowed to leave the exam hall before the completion of the exam.

NID admission 2021 will be conducted through NID Design Aptitude Test. NID DAT 2021 is a two-tier examination which consists of prelims and mains exam. The shortlisted candidates after the prelims exam will be eligible for the mains exam. NID mains exam comprises a studio test and personal interview. Aspiring students who qualified all the selection criteria will be offered admission to any of the NID campuses in B.Des and M.Des programmes.
