DownloadNEW DELHI- The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the NID DAT mains exam from tomorrow, June 6. NID DAT mains exam will be held in hybrid mode due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Those candidates who are going to appear for the NID DAT Mains exam should check all the instructions which will be followed during the exam.
For the M.Des program, the studio test will be held in offline mode at NID campuses. Meanwhile, the interview will be conducted in an online mode. The National Institute of Design (NID) issued the NID DAT mains admit card for MDes programs on April 29. NID DAT mains admit card for the studio test has been released as per preferences chosen by the candidate.

NID DAT mains exam format for M.Des
The DAT mains exam for the M.Des program will consist of a studio test and an interview. The studio test will be held at the campuses of NID in online mode. While the interviews will be held in online mode.
Shortlisted candidates for the NID DAT mains exam are required to upload a statement of purpose (SoP) and portfolio. The statement of purpose (SoP) should contain a maximum of 100 words for each question and the same to be uploaded as a single PDF, not exceeding 2 MB in file size.

It is mandatory for candidates to appear in the studio test and online personal interview to be included in the final merit list of NID DAT 2022

Rescheduling of the NID DAT studio test will not be entertained

If the candidate fails to appear in the online interview round, then in such case admit card will not be generated for the studio test

On the day of the NID DAT studio test, candidates will have to bring a hard copy of the NID DAT to admit card along with one valid photo ID proof

Simply appearing for the NID DAT mains exam does not guarantee admission
About NID DAT exam
NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is a national level entrance test through which candidates are shortlisted for admission to Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses offered by the NID campuses. Candidates will have to clear the NID prelims and mains exam to be eligible for admission to Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des) offered at its campuses.
