NEW DELHI- The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) was conducted the NIFT 2021 exam on February 14 in two shifts. The first session of NIFT 2021 exam was held from 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m while the second slot was held from 2:30 p.m to 4:30 p.m. NIFT answer key 2021 for General Ability Test(GAT) available on the official nift.ac.in from February 17. Most of the candidates found the exam as moderately difficult. In the GAT paper, the current affairs section was slightly tricky. Candidates can check the expected NIFT Cutoff and the seats that are offered at different campuses of NIFT. All the candidates who are appearing for the NIFT 2021 exam, were seen wearing the masks to the test centre. The NIFT exam is conducted for admission to more than 4,000 plus seats for the design programmes that are offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. All the candidates who qualify the NIFT exam, they will be offered admission to various campuses of NIFT across India.
After the conclusion of paper 1 of NIFT 2021, candidates were initially not allowed to come out of the test centre. However, they were given 15 minutes time to eat something after which the gate closed at 1:30 p.m. Earlier candidates arrived at the NIFT exam centre at least two hours before the commencement of the exam. Also outside the NIFT 2021 exam centres, notices are placed about the guidelines which the candidates are required to follow before and during the entrance test.

The NIFT 2021 answer key will be released soon. Candidates will get an opportunity to challenge the NIFT answer key from February 17th to February 20th. Only the questions that are asked in the GAT question paper could be challenged.

Rakshanda who had not prepared for the NIFT 2021 exam said, " I found the exam as a relatively easy. Even though I had not prepared for the entrance test, I found the English section as easy and the Maths was very difficult. " Most of the candidates found the CAT paper as difficult and tricky.
Another candidate found the Maths as very difficult and English as easy and want to pursue graphic designing. General Knowledge section was easy.
Candidates found the CAT section on unexpected lines. There was sufficient time to answer the questions. English was easy and maths was tough. Overall the NIFT 2021 exam was moderately difficult.

Between the first session and the second session of the NIFT 2021 entrance exam, earlier the candidates were not allowed to go out of the exam centre. However, parents complained that it was written in the NIFT admit card that the candidates could come out of the exam centre.

There has been an increase in the total number of seats that are being offered at NIFT. In 2020, the NIFT exam was conducted for 4, 297 seats while in 2021 the exam is being held to fill around 4,517 seats. The past few years have seen a consistent increase in the total number of seats for admission to various UG and PG level design programmes.
The second part of the NIFT entrance exam 2021 which is General Ability Test (GAT) has now begun from 2.30 pm. NIFT exam time GAT is 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. General Ability Test is conducted in pen and paper mode. Both B.FTech and B.Des candidates appeared in NIFT General Ability Test (GAT).
The second session of NIFT entrance exam 2021 in which the General Ability Test will be held will commence from 2.30 pm. NIFT GAT will be conducted from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. Both B.Des and B.FTech candidates will be appearing in the General Ability Test. After the exam students will be allowed to take the GAT question paper.

The second part of the NIFT written test which is General Ability Test(GAT) will commence from 2.30 pm. A total of 100 questions will be asked in GAT in various topics. According to the NIFT 2021 exam pattern, -0.25 will be deducted for each wrong response.

Do not rust to answer the problem without reading the question carefully. Read the given question patiently and understand what the examiner wants from the candidates.

Most of the students prepared for the NIFT entrance exam very well, however, few of the candidates couldn’t prepare well due to other exams. Talking about her preparation, Radhika Banda, “I started preparing for the NIFT 2021 6 months ago. Radhika Banda devoted 3 hours every day to nourish her illustrative skill. I prepared for the Creative Ability Test(CAT) with the help of youtube, referring to last year's question papers.”
While speaking to the correspondent of Careers360, Rishika Sharma said “I have been preparing for the exam for the last 4 months. I joined Pahal Design to prepare for the entrance exam. I got study materials and proper guidance from the coaching institute. I focused on composition, variety of colours and colours composition for CAT. I also referred to magazines, blogs, newspapers to improve her general awareness.
Due to delay in the exam by almost a month, candidates got more time to prepare for the exam.

In order to avoid any kind of confusion at the NIFT exam centre, police personnel were seen.
Candidates are expected to follow the instructions and guidelines that have been mentioned at the test centre. In wake of the prevailing situation due to COVID 19, candidates are advised to sanitize their hands regularly.

The NIFT written exam comprises two parts - Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). Students seeking admission in B.Des programmes need to appear in both CAT and GAT. However, candidates applying for B.FTech have to appear for the General Ability Test (GAT). In the NIFT exam pattern 2021, the admission cell does not mention a specific number of questions which will be asked in the Creative Ability Test (CAT). National Institute of Fashion Technology issued a notification for the candidates appearing NIFT 2021 Rajagiri Center For Business Studies. The examination cell changed the exam venue from Rajagiri Center For Business Studies to Rajagiri Center For Business Studies due to unavoidable administrative reasons.
