Download NowThe National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has activated the round 2 choice filling and modification process link for NIFT counselling 2026. Eligible candidates can fill and edit their campus and programme preferences through the official counselling portal of NIFT admissions at nift.admissions.nic.in.

According to the official counselling schedule, the round 2 choice filling window will remain open from July 3 to July 5 till midnight. The institute will announce the round 2 seat allotment result on July 7.
Candidates who selected the float or slide option after the first round seat allotment will be allowed to participate in the round 2 choice modification process. However, candidates who selected the freeze option in round 1 will not be eligible for upgradation.
The institute had declared the NIFT 2026 round 1 seat allotment result on June 27. Candidates allotted seats in the first round had to pay the prescribed fee before July 1 for admission.
NIFT counselling 2026: How to fill round 2 choices
Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to complete the NIFT round 2 choice filling.
- Visit the official NIFT portal at nift.admissions.nic.in
- Click on the “Round 2 Choice Filling & Modifications for NIFT UG Counselling 2026” link available on the candidates' activity section
- Enter the login credentials, including the application number and password
- Open the “Choice Filling/Modification” section.
- View the available campuses and programmes.
- Add, rearrange, or modify your preferred choices in order of priority.
- Place your most preferred campus-programme combination at the top.
- Fill in the maximum available choices to improve allotment chances.
- Review all selected preferences carefully before final submission.
- Click on “Lock Choices” to confirm your preferences.
- Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.
NIFT 2026 round 2 schedule
As per the counselling schedule, candidates who make corrections in their application forms on July 3 will also undergo document verification on the same day. The institute will publish the round 2 seat allotment result on July 7, while fee payment and willingness submission will be conducted from July 7 to July 9.
Candidates who receive seats in round 2 and wish to participate in further counselling rounds for better options will have to choose the float or slide option again during willingness submission.
