NIFT Srinagar invites applications from J&K domicile candidates

NEW DELHI, JULY 5: National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) campus, Srinagar has announced to conduct a special entrance test for the domicile candidates of Jammu and Kashmir for Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) admissions.

According to the official notification, the NIFT 2018 written test and situation test will be held on July 22 and 23 respectively, at the NIFT Srinagar Campus. Only those candidates can apply who have passed class 12 from schools located in J&K.

The Online application form is available now, where the last date for registration is July 19, 2018.

The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in General Ability Test (GAT), Creative Ability Test (CAT) and Situation Test.

The NIFT will be notifying the total number of seats on July 18.

Who can apply?

Age Requirement:

Candidates should be of 23 years as on October 1, 2017. The upper age limit will be relaxed by a period of five years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe/Differently Abled Person (PHP).

Educational Requirements:

The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as CBSE/State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi

or

General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/International Baccalaureate (IB)

or

Any Public School/Board Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system

or

A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects

or

3 or 4-year-diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education

Application Procedure

Application Fee:

Rs.500/- for General and OBC

Rs.250/- for ST, SC and Differently-Abled Candidates (PHP)

Note- The bank and transaction charges on the application fee will be borne by the applicant.
