NEW DELHI: Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan will release National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ranking 2022 today, July 15 from 11am onwards. The India Rankings 2022 of educational institutions will be released at a virtual event. This year, a record number of 7,254 institutions are participating in NIRF Ranking 2022, according to the Ministry of Education.

The categories under NIRF Rankings 2022 include Overall, Universities, Engineering, Colleges, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Law, Architecture, Dental, and Research. The dental college ranking was introduced for the first time in the year 2020 whereas the Research category was introduced in 2021.

Last year, the education minister released the NIRF rankings on September 9. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad ranked first in the management category in NIRF Rankings 2021. IIT Madras ranked first under the overall and engineering category while AIIMS Delhi bagged the top position under the medical category.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru ranked as the top university in the country and also bagged the first position in the newly added research category. Miranda House emerged as the best college. National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bengaluru was declared the top law school.
The parameters for India rankings 2022 include teaching, learning and resources, research and professional practices, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity and perception.
