NLSAT 2026 registration begins for LLB, BA (hons), PhD; entrance test on April 26

NLSAT 2026: General category candidates should have to pay Rs 2,500 as registration charges, whereas the application fee for other category applicants is Rs 2,000.

The National Law School Admissions Test (NLSAT 2026) registration link has been hosted on the NLSIU Bengaluru’s official website at nls.ac.in. The NLSAT 2026 registrations will close on March 23.

The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bengaluru will admit candidates for various law programmes such as 3-year LLB (Hons), NLS BA (Hons), 2-year Master’s Programmes in Public policy, and PhD in law, social sciences, humanities and public policy.

The NLSAT 2026 is the gateway for admission to the law, BA and PhD courses. The entrance test will be conducted on April 26 in a single shift from 10 am to 12:30 pm.

The pen and paper mode exam will be held for 150 minutes, and consist of part A and B. The first part will include comprehension, current affairs, and critical reasoning (legal and logical reasoning), while the second part will consist of legal aptitude reasoning and analytical ability.

General category candidates should have to pay Rs 2,500 as registration charges, whereas other category applicants need to pay Rs 2,000 as registration fee.

Candidates will gain 1 mark for each correct answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response and unanswered question. For the 3-year LLB (Hons) programme, the maximum intake for the academic year 2026-27 is 120 and only students qualifying the test will be admitted.
