Medical colleges can send applications for undergraduate broad and super specialty courses to MARB by tomorrow, September 17.

NEW DELHI: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced the schedule for approval or disapproval of increase of seats, starting of new broad and super specialty courses, and establishment of new medical colleges for the academic year 2024-25. Accordingly, colleges can send their applications for undergraduate medical seats to the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) by tomorrow, September 17.
“All concerned are hereby informed of the following approved timeline/schedule for completion of approval/disapproval for increase of seats/starting new broad specialty & super-specialty courses/establishment of new medical college/renewal of college for academic year 2024-25,” NMC said in a notice while sharing the schedule.

The medical board will convey the final decision of approval or disapproval including technical scrutiny, assessment, issuing show cause, giving opportunity to rectify defects, and more in February next year. NMC will finalise the seat matrix and verify the data in May.

"In this regard, all concerned authorities and medical colleges are requested to take note of the schedule for taking necessary action," NMC added.
