The JEE Main Session 2 exam will be conducted at different centres located in various cities throughout the country and 15 cities outside India. The exam will be held in two shifts each day, with the morning shift running from 9 am to 12 pm and the afternoon shift from 3 pm to 6 pm, each lasting three hours.
The agency has also released the admit cards for the April 2 and 4 exam on March 29, 2026. Applicants can download their hall tickets from the official website of JEE Main at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can access their admit cards by using the login credentials: application number, password and security pin.

JEE Main Admit Card 2026 Session 2: Steps to download
To download the JEE Main session 2 hall ticket 2026, applicants can follow the steps given below:

Visit the official website of JEE Main at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

On the homepage, click on the JEE Main Admit Card 2026 Session 2 download link.

Enter the login details: JEE Main application number & password and then submit.

The JEE Mains 2 admit card 2026 will appear on the screen.

Download the hall ticket and take a printout for further reference.
JEE Mains 2026 Exam: Guidelines
The guidelines for the JEE Mains 2026 exam are as follows:

Candidates must carry a printed admit card, self-declaration form, passport-size photograph, and a valid original photo ID such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, or passport.

Students are required to reach the exam centre well before time for smooth entry, frisking, and biometric verification. Late entry will not be permitted under any circumstances.

Aadhaar-based authentication and frisking will be conducted at the entry gate to ensure fair examination practices.

The exam will be conducted in online (CBT) mode, and candidates will be allotted computers at their respective centres.

Electronic gadgets including mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, and study material such as books or notes are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

Candidates are not allowed to carry pens, paper, or rough sheets, as these will be provided by the authorities at the centre.

Students are advised to wear light clothes with minimal accessories. Items such as jewellery, caps, watches, and shoes with thick soles should be avoided.

Candidates must follow all instructions given by invigilators, maintain discipline, and avoid any unfair practices during the examination.

Rough sheets provided during the exam must be returned to the invigilator before leaving the hall.

Diabetic candidates are allowed to carry basic food items like fruits and a transparent water bottle for medical needs.

Any breach of rules or use of unfair means may lead to immediate disqualification and cancellation of candidature.
