Odisha 12th result 2023 for science and commerce stream is now available on the online portal -- orissaresults.nic.in. Earlier, candidates complained that the result links were not working despite the declaration of result at 11am. 

In February, the Odisha government approved the proposal of upgrading Vikram Deb Autonomous College into a university. The college was located in Jaypore.

The Odisha government announced the setting up of Odisha University of Health Sciences to improve the medical education in the state. According to a notification issued by the health ministry, all medical and health science colleges will be affiliated to the university starting from this academic session.

A student who could not check their Odisha Board 12th result 2023 tweeted, "What kind is server is in place ? The site has become unresponsive to check the plus 2 results." Another student wrote, "Government declared that the +2 result would be released on 31/05/21 at 11 am. It's  11:52 still we are unable to check the result. Please check it."

A candidate could not view their Odisha 12th result 2023 and said in a tweet, "Sir chse result doesn't show. So what kind of work you done is shameless."

The Odisha government recently formed a committee to improve the law education in the state. The step was seen as an extension of the government's decision to upgrade Madhusudan Law College into Madhusudan Law University and affiliate the private law colleges to the university. However, as per academics, the university does not have sufficient teachers.

Ganapati district recorded the lowest pass percentage of 61.55% in Class 12 board exams 2023. 

Nayagarh district recorded the highest pass percentage of 93.9% in Odisha 12th exams 2023 for commerce stream whereas Bodh district came last with 55.55%. 

Odisha Class 12 students will get all their Class 12 science, commerce certificates, marksheets and migration certificate from Digilocker from June 10 onwards.

In Odisha Class 12 commerce exams 2023, 7,410 got the first division and 4,513 got the second division. 7,492 students got the third division whereas 91 students got compartment. 

A total of 39,573 students grabbed the first division in Odisha Class 12 science exams 2023. 24,257 got the second division and 14,852 secured the third division. 

In Odisha Class 12 commerce exams 2023, the pass percentage this year is 81.12% with girls recording 83.87% and boys recording 79.52%. A total of 24,082 appeared for exams. 

The overall pass percentage of science students stands at 84.93%. A total of 78,938 students passed the exam. While the pass percentage of boys is 84.28%, girl students recorded 85.67%.

A total of 92,950 students appeared for Odisha Class 12 exams including 90,679 regular and 2,271 ex-regular students.

Each student is required to score at least 33 percent marks in each subject as well as overall in order to pass Class 12 board exams 2023. Those students who do not pass the exams will have to sit for supplementary or improvement exams. 

In February this year, Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik announced that VD College will be upgraded to a university from this academic session only which will help improve enrollment of students, proper functioning of the administration as well as academic activities.

After the declaration of Odisha Class 12 results 2023, students will be able to collect their original marksheets from their respective schools. The online result will be provisional in nature. 

Odisha Class 12 students who fail in one or two subjects will have to apply for supplementary exams 2023. The exams are tentatively scheduled to be held in August. 

The Odisha government has reserved 15 percent seats for government school students in state medical and engineering colleges. The decision had drawn mixed reactions from educationists. Some said that it was meant to cover up merger of 8,000 schools whereas others saw it as a hope for a small section of students.

Over 58 lakh Class 10 and Class 12 students didn't pass board exams last year. The education ministry has planned reforms such as bringing school boards across the states and the Union Territories to a common platform and merging multiple boards within the same state into one state board for both classes.
