NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the inauguration of a medical education and research institute in Silvassa today on April 23, 2023. PM Modi made the announcement on Twitter.
In the tweet, PM Modi also said that a seafront project will also be launched in Daman. As per official information, PM Modi will reach Silvassa, the capital of Dadra and Nagar Haveli on April 25, where he will inaugurate the 'NAMO Medical college', funded by central government. He will also inaugurate other allied buildings in the campus, built at a cost of Rs 203 crores.
In Silvassa, a Medical Education and Research Institute would be dedicated to the nation, adding to the region's health infrastructure. A unique Seafront project in Daman would also be dedicated to the nation.

Post this, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for several projects for the entire territory worth Rs 4,804.64 crores during his visit. During the evening, PM Modi will travel to Daman to hold a 16-km long roadshow, which will pass from a newly developed seafront road.
The Daman seafront project began in May 2018 and was completed in March 2023. The project was completed at a cost of Rs 165.10 crore.
